In brief: Postpartum HTN

Antihypertensive agents may be required temporarily postpartum if the hypertension is severe.
Usually if the systolic bp is greater than 140s. Monitor bp closely. The pills may be stopped after a few weeks depending if the pressure comes back to normal. Talk to your doctor.
