I get painful and itchy bumps on the skin above my pubic bone. What could it be?

Folliculitis. a hair follicle inflammation or possible infection. OTC hydrocortisone cream 1% applied as a thin film twice daily would help-. Avoid shaving and tight fitting undergarments. If bumps are red and swollen- see a physician for medical treatment.
