I have had four ear infections since January and my ears have not responded well to antibiotics and decongestants. Do you think I should have my ears drained by an ENT ?

1 doctor agrees

In brief: Follow up appt

I would also suggest having a culture to determine the type of bacteria.
This will help guide therapy.

In brief: Ear infections

Yes you should see an ENT to make a proper diagnosis & make a decision for your treatment plan, you might need ear tube & or antibiotic prophylaxis, you probably have fluids in the middle ears due to chronic nasal congestion & recurrent ear infections, you should also address & treat your nasal problem wheather allergy, sinus problem or adenoids hypertrophy , good luck.
