In brief: Risk

Cervical manipulation may seem attractive but there is a risk of the manipulation.
The maneuver can rarely cause a tear of the inner lining of the vertebral artery at the C1-2 level. There have been numerous reports of this happening. The result is damage to the brain stem and spinal cord called "locked In", paralysis from the level of the eyes down. Don't have the manipulation!!

In brief: Depends

how secure is the diagnosis? If any question, be cleared by spine imaging.
There is nothing without risk- most are reasonable.?

Distinct risks to neck blood vessels, and disk structures, and would avoid high velocity, high amplitude chiropractic manipulations.
