Which is better for anal yeast. Lotrimin (clotrimazole) or monistat?

Equivalent . The Otc formulations are equivalent. Anecdotally, I have good luck with both. Buy generic and whatever is least expensive! .

I switched back to Gyne Lotrimin (clotrimazole) to treat vaginal yeast infection because Monistat almost killed me! I had serious side effects from it.?

Is there a question? All medicines may have side effects. Common side effects of Monistat include headache, burning/itching/pain in the vagina or urinary opening, or lower abdominal cramps. If Gyne-Lotrimin works better for you and Monistat caused problems...avoiding Monistat is a good decision. Read more...

How do I cure a yeast infection when I am allergic to the over-the-counter drugs like Monistat and gynelotrimin (clotrimazole)?

Other medications! Good morning, there are other medications such as Diflucan (fluconazole) that are prescribed by physicians if there is evidence of infection by yeast. "diaper rash" A number of conditions cause so called "diaper rash." i wonder about the duration of treatment rendered since 6 different creams, independently or in combination, have been used in 2 weeks period. If no response to Nystatin was observed in a week, the child is unlikely to have yeast infection unless immunocompromised. Seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and zinc deficiency are other possibilities. Read more...

My son's pediatrician told us to put lotrimin (clotrimazole) on his yeast all over his bottom twice a day. Since we have started it, it looks worse. He's 15 months.?

Rinse/air dry. The red strawberry dots are consistent with a candidal/yeast diaper rash which the treatment for with lotrimin af cream (aka 1%clotrimazole) is correct. If you son has more redness and excoriaton, leaving the diaper off and air drying or tub soaks in baking soda can improve things faster. Pat dry-rinse, but don't wipe hard. Barrier diaper creams can also help. Read more...
Probably not fungal. Diaper rashes can be called for multiple items, however the number one cause of a diaper rash is a diaper. Papers retain humidity and corrosive chemicals found in stool and urine. I also see many kids of eczema on their bottom and it does respond to a treatment steroid cream i would recommend seeing the doctor. Read more...
