In brief: FROSTBITE
Frostbite is the sharp, painful sensations that result from the freezing & thawing of the skin.
It is a severe cold injury. The areas of the body most vulnerable to the effects of frostbite are the feet & toes, the tip of the nose, the rims & lobes of the ears, & the tips of the fingers. If you develop frostbite, see your doctor at once. Do not treat it with ice, ice water, or snow.
