In brief: Better Call them!

You need to have a conversation with the surgeon who will be operating on you.
You need to find out the risks and benefits of the surgery including complications. You need to find out is the cholecystectomy going to done laparoscopically or open. Why are they removing it? Make a list of questions.

Removal of part of the colon is not a routine part of removal of the gallbladder and must have some indication.

In brief: Best ask the surgeon

One of many possible reasons would include the gall bladder stuck to a portion of the colon adjacent to the gall bladder as a result of previous infections, possibly ongoing infection at the time the gall bladder was removed.
Another is diverticulitis with a inflamed diverticula stuck to the gall bladder. Another, colon cancer, & the list goes on & on.

In brief: Discuss with

your surgeon. We do not know all the details of your case and therefore we cannot speculate.
