In brief: Zyrtec, (cetirizine) saline

For otc drying try zyrtec or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) if you can handle the sedation.
Don't drive on benadryl (diphenhydramine). Nasal saline rinses can be helpful. Some people swear pseudophed dries them out but i don't know why. Better airflow i suppose.

In brief: It depends

It depends on other medical conditions and medications.
You should talk with your pharmacist, many people forget they are very well educated on pharmacology andare a vast source of information.
