In brief: Quick Fertility

The quickest way to conceive is to make sure that you ovulate (release an egg) and then have sex at the right time (bbt & opk).
If timing is off then you will not conceive. Then, be healthy and stop bad habits like smoking. If not pregnant in 1 yr (age <35) or 6 mo (>= 35 yrs) then see a fertility specialist (rei or ob-gyn). For testing and treatment. We are very successful.

In brief: Correct timing

Ideal time to have intercourse is 1-2 days prior to ovulation.
If not exactly sure when ovulation takes place, may consider using urinary ovulation predictor kits. If not pregnant after one year (6 months if woman greater than 35 years old) or if woman has irregular menses, then consult with one's ob/gyn or fertility specialist for an evaluation.
