In brief: Of course

Combinations of nortriptyline with another psychoactive drug are frequently prescribed for treatment of continuous neuropathic pain.

In brief: Nerve pain Rx

nortriptyline (pamelor) is often prescribed by neurologists.
It may be used for the prevention of migraine headaches, and the treatment of nerve pain due to injury (carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy, spinal nerve root pinching).

In brief: Can be used

Nortriptyline is an older drug with significant anticholinergic adverse effects, and although I would use for "nerve pain" yrs ago, it is has be largely supplanted by gabapentin and Lyrica (pregabalin).

In brief: Neuropathy is pain

Neuropathy can have many forms and one form is pain.
So all nerve pain is neuropathic but not all neuropathy may be painful. Nortriptyline will work on neuropathic pain but it takes two weeks to kick in.
