Portioning may be contributing to bathroom troubles.
A protein portion of a meal should be about the size of your fist, & the rest of your plate should be filled with fruits, vegetables, & whole grains. Make sure you are eating vegetables that are high in fiber. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water. High fiber without water can cause just as much constipation as a low fiber diet.

Also remember that beverages containing caffeine dehydrate and promote constipation.
