It is nearly impossible to have a "protein only" diet.
Meat will have some fat, soy will have some carbs. Eliminating entire food groups altogether is dangerous. There are essential fatty acids your body needs to function. You need carbs for energy. A high protein, low carb diet is safe. An "all" anything diet is not.

High protein diets are not really unsafe in the short-term as long as you don't have any problems with your heart or kidneys.
Just make sure you drink plenty of water to keep flushing your system out. However, also remember that these diets are not really safe for prolonged use, and rarely do you much good in the long-run.
