Can children take scopolamine?

Not recommended. The scopolamine patch is not recommended for use in children. Children are more susceptible to the side effects of the medication which can include pupil dilation, hallucinations, and lazy eye. Scopolamine hydrobromide, the injected form, may be used in children at reduced doses, but that’s not the form we uses on ourselves as patients, and it’s no longer available in the U.S.
