Mgt. I would suggest a screening test for Strep if there are signs such as swollen red tonsils, pus on the tonsils, high fever. Continue to monitor your temperature, rest and stay well hydrated.

Could be strep. If you have a severe sore throat it would be a good idea to see a doctor and be checked for strep infection. If it is strep you need antibiotics. With strep throat you often have very painful throat with pus, swollen lymph nodes, fever and no cough.
