I recently had a plate and 11 screws removed from my right femur. They had been there for 4 years. How long till the bones in completely filled in?

Fact is that the- -plate & screws have shielded the bone from stress of every day life. Once removed you have 2 protect the femur using crutches 4 a couple weeks, then switch 2 a cane. The bone will remodel to accept the stress in about 6-8 weeks B careful. The screw holes may or may not fill in. That is not the important thing, the internal bone remodeling is. X rays may show the screw holes forever no worries. .
