What happens if your glands are swolen?

Where? Which? Depends on where the glands are. Typically lymph glands will swell in the area of an infection - for example the glands in the neck may swell when fighting an infection in the throat. This is a normal reaction to infection - your body is doing what it needs to do. However, if your glands stay swollen or tender, see a doctor to see if they could use some help fighting the infection.
