In brief: Esophageal tear

The term esophageal tear is used to indicate disruption in membrane integrity.
It is not a rupture which would be complete tear though out the thickness of the esophageal wall through which particles may leak, during rupture you would be advised to not to take anything by mouth. So with tear it is safe to take these medicines and they are all water soluble.
