What is the difference between autism tantrums and normal tantrums?

A rose is a rose; . a tantrum is an outburst of temper with screaming, hitting, kicking, etc. typically used by kids with limited language to obtain a desired object or avoid a non-preferred task. Ignoring tantrums & modeling developmental-age-appropriate self-calming skills extinguishes tantrums in neurotypical toddlers. Kids with Autistic Spectrum Disorder require intensive, repetitive behavioral therapy.
