In brief: Not likely

Likely muscle spasm but you need to be evaluated to make sure it's nothing more serious.

A nerve can be pressed upon by tight muscles, bone spurs, narrowing of the space between vertebrae, bulging of the intervertebral discs, or tumors. The most common is a a tight muscle, but if the pain persists for more than a couple of weeks, further evaluation with xrays, MRI, or nerve conduction studues may be necessary.
