I have had PID. Can an ultra sound test to see any scarring that could have occurred? Worried about infertility.

PID and Infertility. Ultrasound cannot see scar tissue, or "adhesions". A hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an X-ray procedure where dye is injected into the uterus through the cervix. It can identify scar tissue inside the uterine cavity and diagnose "blocked tubes", or "tubal occlusion". It can identify fibroids and polyps which can also contribute to problems with conceiving. Laparoscopy can identify pelvic adhesions.
