Infections of Teeth. Infections of the teeth are not like a sore throat or a chest cold or a sinus condition where antibiotics resolve your problem. After taking an antibiotic the offending tooth is still there and the infection returns. Please see a local dentist to determine why the tooth is infected and if extraction is necessary.
I had a wisdom tooth out recently, I then got an infection and I'm due to take my last anitbiotic today. Should the pain have completely gone by now?
How recently ? And how much pain? How difficult was the extraction? It's so hare to give you a meaningful answer without this information. Understand that your extraction was a minor surgery and that everyone heals at a different pace. Add your infection, and it might take longer for you to heal.
