In brief: Glare at night

Glare at night is a common problem. Among elderly patients, cataract is a common cause.
Among younger patients like you, refractive errors like astigmatism and higher order aberrations are common causes of glare., esp at night. Corneal edema (esp after swimming) also causes halos and glare. See a refractive surgeon for a workup including refraction in dark conditions and wavefront analysis.
