My husband was drinking a soda and his finger accidentally touched my 3 year olds mouth. Could she get infant botulism from the high fructose corn syr?

1 doctor agrees

In brief: No

The high fructose corn syrup in soda generally does not contain botulism and regardless that type of exposure could not cause a problem. It is fine

In brief: Relax

Infant botulism is a problem of infants, not toddlers.
Once the gut has matured and food sources change it is generally not seen. It certainly has nothing to do with soda and its sweeteners.
