In brief: Technically no

Once the meniscus tears it typically doesn't heal.
A majority of it has poor blood supply with little intrinsic healing capability. Even if the tissue remains torn it can stop hurting and as far as you're concerned it will be "healed". If the pain continues for more than 8 wks and especially if you have catching and locking, see a surgeon. A simple arthroscopy may relieve your pain.
