We'd be better to use dysrhythm. It is a general term used by physicians to refer to a heart beat out of sync. Many dysrhythm's are benign. If unduly slow (<60), or fast (>100), or if you feel faint/ light headed), your doc should evaluate. Atrial fib is a leading cause of strokes and is usually first noted by an irregular pulse.
