Just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes two days ago. At er blood sugar was 325. they started insulin and discharged. Sugar now 470 but been taking meds?

Too high. Yu certainly have DM that is not controlled at this time. Over 400 is too high and if persists, you will need to go to the emergency room. Call your Dr. ASAP and get in for an evaluation and adjustment of medication, dietary counseling, and advice on Therapeutic lifestyle changes.
