I have a high LPA. Have you heard if using low does estrogen to lower this? My cholesterol is 188 and I have great HDL and LDL

Lipoprotein (a), as you know, is a lipoprotein subclass. It seems to be an independent risk factor for atherosclerotic disease. The only drug currently recommended for elevated Lp(a) is niacin. The effect of estrogen on Lp(a) is unclear: there is some evidence that ERT is associated with lower Lp(a) levels, but whether risk is lowered is questionable. Would not take ERT for this purpose alone. Best wishes.
