28 wks pregnant, & I was cooking eggs and I got close to the fire and It smelt like pure gas, I about threw up!! Smelling gas hurt my baby in anyway?

Smelling gas and getting away from it is what is supposed to happen.
The "pure gas" has no odor, so a cook would not know she was inhaling it for a long time (bad to do). So, the odor is ADDED to the gas (by the gas company) to let the cook know right away when she smells the gas. Then she can turn off the gas, and relight it properly. No worries.
