In brief: Bad set

Probably a bad set of orthotics.
They reduce pressure and realign center of gravity so ankles should feel better.

If the fibroma is painful , especially in the orthotics, it is possible that your compensating for the pain at the ankle level.

In brief: Do you mean plantar

Do you mean plantar fasciitis? Or fibroma? In any case your podiatrist should hear you concerns, and make the appropriate device, which should help after examining you.
