Do ortho surgeons only see surgical candidates?

Orthopedic surgery. This is a field that includes disorders or bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Surgical or nonsurgical treatment may be used.
Not Necessarily. Orthopedic surgeons, like all other types of surgeons, see patients in consultation. Some of the patients seen can be helped with advice or nonsurgical intervention. On the other hand, some patients seen by orthopedic surgeons may benefit from surgical intervention. Hope this helps.
