In brief: Different

Emphysema is the loss of alveolar tissue or air sacs.
COPD is disease of the airways often associated with infections. Smokers generally have a mixture of both disorders. Because they often occur in the same person there is confusion about the exact meaning of these terms.

Emphysema means that your lungs are blown up like balloons, on both sides. Bad situation but a lung specialist can help, usually with inhalers.

In brief: COPD

COPD comprises of emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
So emphysema is also diagnosed as copd, and so is chronic bronchitis.
