Drinkk water. If you get hungry and are trying to curb your eating, do some simple things. Drink a glass of water when you get the munchies and before eating. Another tip is to get up and go for a walk around the yard, block or elsewhere when you feel you need to eat. If this is a health issue, you may need to get checked out for diabetes and thyroid disease. Discuss with your pcp.
Excessive hunger. The best way is to eat breakfast every day and learn to eat your meals, slowly. The stomach homone ghrelin causes hunger and diminishes with eating, but it takes at least 20 - 30 minutes for that to happen. If you eat in 5 minutes, you'll still be hungry.
