I have asthma. Take singulair, (montelukast) proventil, and advair. 5 weeks pregnant & advised not to take advair. How often can I use proventil without harming baby?

In brief: Asthma

If you are having to use albuterol numerous times a day for shortness of then you would benefit from the steroid Budesonide which has been found to be safe in pregnancy.
The greater harm is to not use medication that will keep you from having worsening asthma symptoms while pregnant. Take care if yourself and your baby. Always ask your doctors if you are not sure if a medication is safe.

Use your advair! if you can't breathe, the baby can't breathe.
All inhaler medications are safe in pregnancy. Only Budesonide was studied but none of the others due to the ethical issues with those studies. All inhaled corticosteroids are safe in pregnancy. If scared, then switch to budesonide.
