What is the difference between ephedrin sulfate 25mg and Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) 20 mg?
Different drugs. The're both sympathomimetic amines, but different drugs. Ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate) so4 is given IV or subcut. It's more peripheral in action -- and is used to relax some smooth muscle and counteract hypotension from anesthesia or other drugs. Adderall is given orally, and is more active centrally -- in brain where it helps counteract symptoms of adhd. Ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate) hcl [but not so4] can be taken orally.
