What is the drug of choice for hypertension in middle age male with no history of dm or other chtonic diseases?

Several. Usually we start with one or two drugs. More out now on combination of low dose of two drugs. Usually a combination of an ace inhibitor with low dose hydrocholorothiazide or Chlorthalidone is selected. One may opt for a beta blocker with hctz/chlorthalidone but in males particularly, beta blocker can have untoward sexual side effects. Arb's may be used for ace. It is usually individualized.
Diuretic. A thiazide diuretic such as Chlorthalidone is probably the best first line treatment in uncomplicated hypertension. Your primary medical doctor can prescribe this.
