Define heavy. What is heavy menses for one woman might seem not so heavy for another. Some questions to help determine if your period is heavy. How many tampons or pads do you use daily? How many days do you bleed for? Do you have clots, or solid chunks of blood with your periods? Do you ever soak through your tampon or pad, getting blood on your clothes or bed sheets?
