In brief: Avoid reflux
Really big ones may need surgery, most don't.
Many have no symptoms. Can have gastroesoph reflux symptoms with/without hh; may have no symptoms even with hh. In general, treat like ge reflux: avoid large meals, fatty, foods, caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, carbonated beverages, lying down for 2-3h after eating, eating for 2-3h before bedtime; if overweight, lose weight. Antacids etc maybe, c md.
