In brief: Cystitis,obstruction

Inflammation or utis cause bladder thickening.
Bladder outflow obstruction, e.g. Tight, non relaxing bladder neck, prostate enlargement, urethral vaves or a urethral stricture causes all cause bladder trabeculation (enlargement of bladder muscle fibers). Also neurogenic bladder, detrussor-sphincter dyssynergia (sphincter conractswith voiding) but should relax & bladder reflux all cause thickening.
