In brief: Pain

Try taking some antiinflammatories like ibuprofen.
Rest it a bit. If the pain doesn't subside enough to get up and walk, you should see a physician. It should settle down fairly quickly if it is a muscle strain (most common reason for sudden back pain). Ice/heat and massage and stretching can also help.

You are having back spasm probably due to weak muscles pt and flexible exercises are helpful.
If you have numbness and tingling down your leg than you have nerve involvement.
