In brief: Depends on origin
Thyroid cancer to neck nodes is not as worrisome as cancer from other sites.
Lymphomas are more treatable. Head and neck cancers to neck nodes still have a cure possibility. Overall anything besides lymphoma or thyroid it is not a good finding when cancer goes to lymph nodes.

In brief: Serious
It can be quite serious but unfortunately there are not enough details to give any meaningful advice for this problem. Given the complexities involved (it depends on what type of cells, how many lymph nodes, and a host of other factors), a one-on-one discussion with your ENT or oncologist is the best avenue for your concerns.
