My eyes are often sensitive to light, feel dry and they hurt. Is there a vitamin deficiency causing this? What can I take to better my eye health?

In brief: Stepwise approach
Causes are multiple so cause is investigated.
Sometimes it is a local problem such as allergies. Systemic problems such as rheumotoid arthritis treatment is stepwise. Local treatment such as drops is first. Prescription drops are next. Punctual plugs interfere with restasis. Here is our approach http://one.Aao.Org/asset.Axd?Id=900d3edd-65ce-4fc2-8a58-1cf8e17c20d5.

In brief: "dry" eye syndrome
Could be related to systemic medications, arthritic or auto immune disease, oil and or mucous gland deficiency.
Start on artificial tears preservative free, omega 3, and see an ophthalmologist who can work up the problem. Unless you have malnutrition a vitamin deficiency is unlikely.
