In brief: IUI or IVF

With intrauterine insemination, usually start of using Clomiphene citrate.
With in vitro fertilization, injectable gonadotropins is usually used to stimulate the ovaries as it is more potent than Clomiphene citrate.

In brief: Happy Ovaries

You only need ovulation medication if you are not ovulating or as a fertility treatment to purposefully cause multiple ovulations as part of infertility care.
In these cases we use several medications from Clomid (clomiphene) (cheap and limited eggs) to injectable hormones (expensive and many eggs). If you have normal regular cycles with evidence of ovulation then you probably do not need help. See your doc.
