In brief: Caffeine withdrawal

Not all sodas have caffeine but many do.
Headaches are a common withdrawal symptom. It should resolve in a week. One should avoid cheating by using other drinks (or pills) which also have caffeine.

In brief: Caffeine headaches

You can try stopping drinking sodas and for the headaches, take no-dose over the counter. Take enough to help your headaches go away, then start taking less and less no-dose each day.
No-dose or vivarin contains caffeine. Good luck.
