In brief: Global laxity

Milfd loose joints genetic painless popping is not to be worried about.

you need to exercise since you have to have good muscle tone to support your joints. Popping occurs when you stress the joint, the small aount of fluid in your joint sublines into a gas and thus the pop.

In brief: Elastic tissue

Popping joints with normal x-rays suggests you might be hypermobile.
Hypermobility implies increased flexibility in the tissue. Hypermobilty can be inherited and some of your relatives might also be loose. The tissue has more elastic tissue and thus more give to it. This is also called ehlers danlos syndrome and is the benign type called ehlers danlos type 3.
