It is caused by inflammation of the inner ear. The hair fibers of the inner ear are very delicate it is often associated with dizziness. Menieres syndrome exposure to loud noises. Ear wax empaction and infection. Rarely a small tumor called acoustic neuromaay be the cause. If it persists get it checked out.
