High monocyte %, manual count in toddler. All other results on CBC normal, mono CT 16. Cause for concern?

In brief: Not necessarily

The monocytes are often up some in a variety of viral illnesses but less commonly than the lymphocytes.
Infectious mononucleosis does occur in a muted ( less intense) form in toddlers & the usual mono blood test can be negative until months after the illness has passed. If the kid is cruising around enjoying life i would ignore the test & get back to living.
