I have a 6mm syrinx noted on cervical MRI at c6-c7. I have no previous major spinal trauma. Should i be concerned? What should I do?

In brief: Syrinx

Any syrinx should be investigated specially larger than 3mm. You should have full MRI of brain, thoracic & lumbar spine to r/o any other etiology.
You should definitely see a neurosurgeon.

In brief: Rule out Tumor

Most of these are meaningless however it is important to rule out a tumor with a contrast enhanced MRI as well as a chiari malformation.
Additionally, this may be imaged in the future to ensure it does not enlarge.
