In brief: Work with what U hav
You cannot increase the absorbtive abilities of your gut, but you can learn how things affect you & avoid things that hurt it.
Foods, fluids or meds, natural or rx can push things thru too fast for good absorption or slow them to a crawl where u feel bad.Keeping your own food calander & avoiding items known to speed emptying or cause excessive cramping may help.Food allergy testing may help.

In brief: If ur nl, don't need
Great reserve capacity of gut for digestion and absorption of nutrients.
In absence of disease, don't need to improve absorption. If lactose intolerance-low lactose products, or lactase preparations can help digest the milk sugar. If other disease processes, individualized rx-dpends on what's wrong. See your doc to figure it out. Bring a diet diary with symptoms noted.
