In brief: Wait a Minute

There is research that demonstrates effectiveness of warm oil in the ear , if there are no tubes or perforations, as a pain reliever for middle ear infections.
These are not cures. So see your doctor. The oil may deaden the nerve endings of the eardrum.

In brief: No no no

Unless you are trying to make a salad in your ear keep oil out of your ear. Speaking of salads in your ear there is a role for white vinegar at times.
In the case of chronic bacterial or fungal ear canal infections the vinegar can acidify the ear canal. Bacteria and fungus do not do well in the presence of acid like vinegar. As a general rule leave your ear alone. If your ear bothers you see ent.
