In brief: Less than a day
A hive lasts a few hours & never longer than a day.
When gone it leaves no mark on the skin. Angioedema - swelling of the eyelids, lips, hands & fetes associated with hives - may last up to 2 days. Hives can reoccur weekly, daily, even twice a day. This process can persist for weeks, months, even years.
